Day 1: SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA
Arrival at Juan Santamaria International Airport. A Costa Rica Tour and Travel representative will meet and greet you upon arrival and will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 2: SAN JOSE – BALSA RIVER –ARENAL AREA
Today you will wind through spectacular and sweeping views. Once in the water at the Pacuare River, you will experience ( CLASS II,III category), the exhilaration of riding the waves on this declared wild and scenic river, which courses through a tropical wilderness of dense vegetation.

Day 3: ARENAL VOLCANO AREA
Breakfast at the Hotel. In the morning you will have included a Horseback riding tour to the Fortuna River Waterfalls. Gorgeous pastoral countryside unfolds as you gently ride your way up through the region. You’ll have to hike approximately 500 meters through the forest before it is revealed to you, and it’s worth the wait. The falls, a 70-meter (230-foot) silver ribbon, plummets from the side of an emerald-colored jungle cliff into a natural pool where you can swim in the cold mountain waters.
For the afternoon you will visit the Arenal Volcano surroundings, a volcano that has been active since 1968, constantly ejects gases, water, red-hot lava. The highly active Arenal Volcano is a must-see, not only for its constant activity, but also for its imposing, perfect cone and the exuberant vegetation in the surrounding areas. You will also visit a nearby Hot Springs, which will offer you the opportunity to take a dip in the natural mineral hot springs that descend from the volcano. Dinner is included as well in this journey.

Day 4: ARENAL VOLCANO - RINCON DE LA VIEJA VOLCANO AREA
Breakfast at the Hotel. In the morning you will see the rainforest from a perspective previously reserved for monkeys and birds, in the Canopy Tour. Your access to the top will be a Sky Tram (a cable way) for about 30 minutes and then you'll glide from treetop to treetop along zip lines that whisk you high above the forest floor. While on the several platforms that connect the trees, expert naturalist guides will bring the forest alive for you. For early afternoon you will be taken with an unescorted transfer to the area of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, located in the Guanacaste Mountain range. During the transfer you will be passing by the Arenal Lake, fulfilled with great scenery, as well you as passing by different towns.

Day 5: RINCÓN DE LA VIEJA
Breakfast at the hotel. This day you will enjoy a hiking tour to the crater of the volcano: A trail with a diversity of life zones. The hike up takes 3.5 hours. The view is astonishing. On clear days you can see the Caribbean Sea, the Nicaragua Lake and, of course, the Pacific Ocean. Also close to the summit are Jilgueros Lagoon and the highest point, the Von Seebach.

Day 6: RINCÓN DE LA VIEJA
Breakfast at the hotel. This day you will enjoy a horseback riding to the waterfalls is a 25 meter high waterfall with emerald-green water. A forest covered canyon surrounds it. It is 3 Km, from the hotel.

Day 7: RINCÓN DE LA VIEJA - TAMARINDO BEACH AREA
After your breakfast we tranfer you to the northpacific side in Tamarindo area.
Day 8: TAMARINDO BEACH AREA
Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure for you to relax and enjoy the beach or eventually on your own take an optional tour in the area.

Day 10: TAMARINDO BEACH AREA

Day 11: TAMARINDO BEACH - SAN JOSE
Breakfast at the Hotel. Morning at leisure. In the afternoon you will be picked up by our private bus to transfer you back to San Jose

Day 12: DEPARTURE DAY
Breakfast at the hotel and departure transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport.
